The presentations use a non- theoretical approach in which concepts are explained intuitively and supported by examples. The exercise will include problems from all disciplines.

✓ Learning Outcomes

  1. Define statistics and other related vocabulary
  2. Explain how to collect, organize and present data
  3. Describe basic analysis of data
  4. Solve problems in basic probability
  5. Explain various probability distributions

📋 Assessments

💬
The tools include online collaborative discussions forums that focus on team learning and personal mastery and will therefore provide you with peer feedback, lecturer assessment and self- reflection.
📋
You will also be required to do one major assignment/project that is meant to assess the application of the skills and knowledge gained during the course. The project score in combination with scores for e-tivities (where graded) will account for 40% of your final examination score with the remaining 60% coming from a face to face sit-in final written examination that will be guided by your university examination policy and procedures.
