This course introduces teachers in training to the basic concepts of psychology; historical perspective in psychology; schools and branches of psychology; general human development with special emphasis on adolescence; biological, social and cultural factors affecting human development; factors influencing behavior, intelligence, motivation, emotions, perception, sensation and learning; application of psychological concepts and principles; theories of learning; retention and transfer of knowledge
